At Babusanta Beach Resort

After our first stop in our island hopping adventure last March 27, 2011, the captain brought us to a beach resort called Babusanta. Most of the boats rented for island hopping dock at that resort for lunch. At that time, there were about 6 or 7 boats waiting for its passengers. After lunch the passengers make their way to the waters to relax after a very satisfying meal. Usually, during this time the sun is at its pick and its so hot. The boats waiting by the sea served as a floating shade on the water for the swimmers to enjoyed upon under the scorching sun.

We enjoyed the clear water, white sand and peaceful ambiance while we are playing beside the boat at Babusanta Beach Resort. Here are some of the photos taken during that time.

Island Hopping: Funny Pics

The main character on this photos is April, she's the kind of person who doesn't like to be pictured. Every time she noticed someone is going to take a picture of her she immediately move the other way or hide her face. Here are some the proofs:

So I took a picture of her from a distance behind the bench. I have to position my DigiCam in between the holes of the bench for her not to see the cam. And i got this shot, super gotcha!

And this is the funny edited version of the photo. I used PhotoScape's object functions and play with the cartoon pics. By the way, the guy with the beautiful eyes is James and we call him Master. He is the "Maniniyot" of our group, its the Pinoy term for photographer.  He is damn funny in this pic. LOL.

Island Hopping: Coming Home

This photo was taken when we were on our way back to Sta. Ana Warf, Davao City from our Island Hopping adventure. I took this photo using a regular colored setup from my DigiCam. After that, I used Photoscape to set it to grayscale and add some final touches.

Island Hopping

  • Boat Rental: PHP6,500 - good for 28 passengers
  • Snorkel and Goggles Rental: PHP 100
  • Life Vest Rental: PHP 30 - free 5 vest
  • 7-8am departure from warf
  • 4-5pm coming back to warf
Make your way to Sta. Ana Warf, Davao City and you would stumble upon numbers of shops which offers Island Hopping and other services. It's a best practice to make reservations long before your planned adventure date.

Scary But Beautiful

This photo was taken last year, somewhere on December. We were sitting on the pavement by the sea one hot weathered night. My girlfriend turned on the flashlight of my cellphone and she said, "I am a ghost.. waaahhh." She wanted to scare me but I liked what she did so I took a picture of it.

2004 Memory #1

"Sometimes feelings are better express in silence than saying it out loud.."

I wrote that line in 2004 when I was on my fourth year in high school. I had a paper folder and I place the quote in front cover of it.

Gossip at the Bus Terminal

Photo taken at Davao Overland Transport Terminal (Ecoland Bus Terminal) Transport last March 12, 2011. These two terminal vendors met at the middle of the platform in front of the parked buses then eventually sat down and started to gossiping. Gossiping is one of the most rampant hobby/habit of older typical Filipina, thats how they spread the news fast and entertaining!
