Wi-Fi Hotspot on the Spot

Our house is now a Wi-Fi hotspot after a four months of planning and budgeting. I was suppose to have one last December but other things came up and got in the way. But last month, I finally bought a Wi-Fi router with a help from a friend named Darian. He also bought same router as mine, after he purchased it, weeks after I also bought one for me. Thanks to Darian, I had an instant tech support on call. Hehehe.

We bought EDIMAX's BR-6428nS wireless router for PHP 1,650.00. The product includes the router itself, installation guide, CD, ethernet cable, power adapter and some accessory kit (stickers and screws, i don't consider them as accessories..lol). It is a 300Mbps wireless broadband router, as what the box and manuals said but I actually doesn't know what that means. lol. All I'm concern of is that it would work if i'll use it at home with my units. Now since Darian helped me buy the router, he got the chance to configure it first before it was handed to me. When I brought it home, everything was all set.
As what Darian said, "just insert the cable from the modem and everything is OKAY!". But since I'm kindah "NOT" curious on how it was configured, so I also tried reconfiguring it. Heheh. I changed the passwords, WPA security key and other basic configurations. It works well after I configured it so I left it like that.

Now, me and my cousin can enjoy the internet evenly. Thanks to this small but brilliant tool. By the way, even though I already have this Wi-Fi router and everything setup I'm still using the cable. Hehehe. One thing that I don't like connecting via wireless is it too sensitive. My connection is always fluctuating so I always got disconnected with a slight fluctuation and when I connect via wireless, the connection do not immediately return unlike with cable. BTW, I only use cable when I'm working. Heheh.
